Effective from January 4, 2022
The Quick Pay Service Agreement for E-CNY Wallet of Bank of China Limited (the “Agreement”) is a valid contract entered into by and between Bank of China Limited (“BOC”) and users (“you”) of BOC’s e-CNY wallet (“e-CNY wallet”) with respect to matters relevant to the service of Quick Pay with a payment QR code (the “Service”).When you log in to the e-CNY wallet to use the Service, it shall be deemed that you acknowledge, understand and agree on all contents of the Agreement, and confirm to bear all responsibilities and legal consequences resulting therefrom.
You shall read through the Agreement carefully, especially the contents in bold, before enabling the Service. In case of a minor who intends to enable the Service, his/her guardian shall sign the Agreement on his/her behalf. If you do not agree on any content of the Agreement, or cannot accurately understand the terms, please do not proceed with the subsequent operations.
I. Quick Pay with a payment QR code
The payment with a payment QR code refers to the service where you show to a merchant the payment QR code (QR code or one-dimensional code, the same below) obtained from the interface of BOC e-CNY wallet on the e-CNY APP or from other channels (including but not limited to APP, H5 page, etc.) that BOC provides e-CNY wallet services, and the merchant scans it, by which an instruction of deduction is sent to your e-CNY wallet. You can choose to add the function of Quick Pay to your payment service with a payment QR code. After you enable the Service, BOC has the right to deduct the transaction amount from your e-CNY wallet and transfer it to the merchant’s wallet or account without verifying your payment PIN, SMS verification code or other verification elements, provided that the transaction amount is within the wallet limit of the Service.
II. Authorization of the Service
When you enable the Service, e-CNY wallet will verify your payment PIN. After you enter the PIN and it is passed, it shall be deemed that you authorize BOC to deduct the transaction amount from your e-CNY wallet and transfer it to the merchant’s wallet or account without verifying your payment PIN or other verification elements, provided that the transaction amount is within the wallet limit of the Service.
III. Wallet Limit of the Service
After enabling the Service, the maximum amount free of PIN is RMB500 by default. That is, if the payment amount is less than RMB500, there is no need to verify the payment PIN or other verification elements; otherwise, the payment PIN will be required.
IV. Security Instructions
1. The payment QR code of the e-CNY wallet and your mobile phone are the important basis and media for BOC to deduct money from your e-CNY wallet. Please keep your payment QR code and mobile phone properly, and do not give them to others. Any economic losses caused by your failure to properly keep the payment QR code and mobile phone shall be borne by yourself.
2. If you need to suspend/terminate the use of the Service, you can do so on the e-CNY APP or through other channels that BOC provides e-CNY wallet services. Your payment PIN will be verified by BOC when restarting the Service after you suspend/terminate the same.
V. Others
1. Matters not covered herein shall be subject to the User Service Agreement for E-CNY Wallet of Bank of China Limited. In case of any conflict between the related agreement and this Agreement, this Agreement shall prevail.
2. BOC will make announcements in advance on any modification of the Agreement due to system upgrade, changes in businesses or business development. If you have any objection to the modification, you have the right to stop using the Service. If you do not cancel the Service or continue to accept the Service, it shall be deemed by BOC that you agree on and accept the modification of the Agreement, and that the Service shall be provided in line with the modified Agreement.
3. BOC will make announcements in advance on the suspension or termination of the Agreement due to the requirements of laws and regulations, as well as the regulatory authorities, business adjustments or other rational reasons. The transaction instructions you send to BOC before the suspension or termination of the Agreement are still valid, and you shall be liable for the consequences arising from the handling of the transaction instructions by BOC.
